By using Boba's Launch Alerts (the "app"), you agree to these terms. If you're a parent setting the app up for a child, you're agreeing on their behalf.

What the app is

The app shows upcoming and past rocket launches, estimates whether a launch may be visible from your location, sends optional alerts, and includes educational cards, predictions, games, and an augmented-reality feature. Launch data comes from Launch Library 2 by The Space Devs. Visibility, trajectory, and speed figures are modelled estimates, not official telemetry.

No guarantees about launches

Rockets scrub, slip, and move. We do our best to keep the schedule current, but we can't promise that any launch time, visibility estimate, weather call, or alert is accurate or on time. Don't rely on the app for safety decisions. Watch launches from safe, legal places, and follow the guidance of local authorities.

Mission Crew subscription

• Mission Crew is an auto-renewing subscription: $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year (prices may vary by region), with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you don't cancel before it ends.
• The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings (Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Family Sharing is enabled; the subscription can be shared with your family group according to Apple's rules.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.

Parents and children

The app is intended for families. Purchases are behind a hold-to-confirm gate intended for a parent. Please keep Ask to Buy or Screen Time controls on for a child's device if you don't want them making purchases. The Logbook, photos, notes, and Academy progress are stored on the device and are the family's own.

Your content

Photos and notes you add stay on your device. Images the app makes for you to share (Mission Posters, cards) are yours to share. Don't use the app to create or share anything unlawful.

Acceptable use

Don't reverse engineer the app, interfere with its services, or use it in any way that breaks Apple's App Store terms or the law.

Ownership and credits

The app, its artwork, Boba, and its original content are owned by BackDrop Studios LLC. Launch data is provided by The Space Devs under their terms. Some 3D rocket models are used under licence from their creators and are credited in the app. SpaceX, NASA, and other names are the trademarks of their owners; this app is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BackDrop Studios LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including missed launches, inaccurate estimates, or travel undertaken to view a launch.

Changes and termination

We may update the app or these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. We may end or suspend access if these terms are violated.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
